Bar Complaint Generator

Free template tool for drafting state bar disciplinary complaints against an attorney. State-specific rule citations for KS, MO, WI, IL, with stub coverage for all other states. Output is text you copy into the disciplinary authority's actual submission portal or PDF form.

Template generator. Not legal advice. This tool produces a draft document based on facts you supply. It does not create an attorney-client relationship, does not evaluate the merits of your situation, and does not substitute for consultation with qualified counsel. Bar complaints are factual filings - you alone are responsible for the accuracy of every statement. Consider consulting a malpractice or ethics attorney before filing. Stage 5of the accountability methodology.

1. Your Information

2. Respondent Attorney

Drives the disciplinary office routing and rule citation format. File in the state where the attorney is licensed, not where you live (if different).

One attorney per complaint. File separate complaints for additional attorneys.

3. Matter Information

As it appears on the bankruptcy petition or court docket.

4. Rule Violations Alleged

Select each rule the conduct violates. Citations auto-format for the selected state.

5. Factual Narrative

This is the heart of the complaint. Stick to documented facts with dates. The disciplinary authority will cross-check every assertion against your evidence.

6. Evidence / Exhibits

Attach copies (not originals) when you submit. Most disciplinary authorities accept PDF uploads or paper copies. Number exhibits in the order you reference them in the narrative.

Privacy reminder: Bar complaints are typically confidential during the investigation phase but may become public if formal charges issue. Do not include sensitive personal data (SSN, account numbers, minors' identifying information) that is not material to the alleged misconduct. State authorities also have their own redaction rules; check the submission portal.
